Are you considering buying a home in the Triangle? Want to learn more about how buyer’s agency works? Are you nervous about buying your first piece of real estate? Not sure how to work with a Realtor?
I can answer all of those questions and more, either in my office in downtown Carrboro, or in a more casual setting if you prefer. It is important to me to make sure that you get exactly what you want, both from me as your Realtor and in your new home.
There are three main roles I play as your Buyer’s Agent:
1. Property search. At the beginning of the process we establish your selection criteria, requirements, wishes, needs, and goals in finding a new home or property. My role is to help you sort out these criteria and then show you homes that meet them.
2. Contract negotiations. As your agent, I help you navigate through the maze of real estate forms and offer documents. I negotiate on your behalf, and work to secure a contract for the purchase.
3. Closing management. In this stage, the buyer’s agent plays project manager that conducts all of the necessary steps required for a successful closing. Those steps include assisting you obtain mortgage financing, conduct inspections, hire an attorney, and handle all communication with the selling side of the deal.
